Lori is a seasoned healthcare executive with 25+ years of experience in healthcare and health tech as an entrepreneur, operator and government leader. She is currently the Co-founder and President of HealthReveal, a clinical artificial intelligence (AI) company dedicated to combating chronic disease by delivering personalized, optimal patient care recommendations. She also currently serves on HL7 International’s Board of Directors, the leading standards organization striving to realize a world in which every person can securely access and use their health data when and where they need it.
Previously, Lori has held a series of leadership positions with growing health tech firms. Lori served as President of population health company GSI Health prior to its acquisition by Medecision, an integrated health management company supporting 50 million health plan members. Prior to GSI Health, Lori was CEO of ActiveHealth Provider, a division of ActiveHealth Management within Aetna, one of the first payer-led clinical decision support companies. During the first tech boom, Lori was a Director at clinical decision support company CareScience, helping scale the company through its initial public offering and eventual sale to global software firm Quovadx. Lori began career as a consultant in the strategic operations group of the Kaiser Permanente Medical Group in Northern California, dedicated to primary care and IT initiatives.
Additionally, Lori is known for bringing her entrepreneurial spirit and deep industry expertise to the government realm. She served in the George W. Bush administration in the nation’s first Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) for Health IT in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). As a member of the founding ONC team, Lori was a Senior Advisor launching programs on electronic health record (EHR) adoption, interoperability and privacy and security. Lori was subsequently appointed to lead New York state’s first Office of Health Information Technology Transformation as Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Health. Under Lori’s leadership, the New York eHealth Collaborative (NYeC) and the Statewide Health Information Network for New York (SHINY) – two public-private partnerships to advance digital health statewide – were launched and funded, still serving as a model health information exchange for the rest of the country.
Lori writes and speaks regularly on health tech and participates in numerous industry and policy organizations as a national expert. She has received several professional honors – including being named a rising star by Modern Healthcare and a 40 under 40 business leader by Crain’s New York Business Publication.
Lori holds an M.P.H. from George Washington University and a B.A. from Ohio Wesleyan University. Lori also sits on the board of directors of Sanctuary for Families, a human rights organization dedicated to addressing domestic violence, sex trafficking and other forms of gender violence and HL7 International.
